Good Olde Saturday
Beginning in February, we will spend the 4th Saturday of every month stepping back in time with our “Good Olde Saturdays” event. Beginning at 11:00am and continuing until 3:00pm, we will screen a variety of silent movies from the early 1900’s, our billiard table and classic board games will be available for anyone to play, we will fire up our recently acquired player piano, and we will have popcorn and lemonade available throughout the day. We also encourage you to order some food at The Chocolate Moose or Pizza King or grab a coffee from Main Street Coffee Company and bring your refreshments into the comfort and warmth of the Cultural Center to enjoy some of our old fashioned entertainment. Except for the popcorn and lemonade, all Good Olde Saturday activities are free of charge. We just wanted to find a way for people to enjoy our great historic building on Saturday afternoons and give visitors to our town a chance to experience life the way it used to be. If you have any ideas for additonal activities during Good Olde Saturdays, let us know, and be sure to tell all of your friends that there is something special going on all the time in good old Farmland! |
